We are filing a criminal complaint with the County State Attorney’s Office in Pula against unknown perpetrators for the deliberate and systematic implementation of waste management activities that have resulted in significant environmental pollution and serious harm to human health.

Kaznena prijava - Criminal report

  • At the Regional Waste Management Center Kaštijun, a limited liability company (d.o.o.), they carried out waste management activities based on controversial, incorrectly selected, and misinterpreted data from the Environmental Impact Study of August 12, 2008,

  • From March 1, 2023, to November 21, 2023, they carried out waste management activities without a valid Waste Management Permit issued by the Administrative Department for Sustainable Development of the Istrian County,

  • They disposed of metallic waste fractions on an unprotected surface without a basic sealing system, thereby causing uncontrolled discharge of stormwater into the soil,

  • They disposed of RDF bales on an unprotected surface and outside the area of the Regional Waste Management Center Kaštijun,

  • By ventilating the mechanical-biological treatment plant hall through the opening of the plant doors, they repeatedly caused uncontrolled emissions of harmful airborne particles from the plant into the environment.
