Global Recognition for the Green Squad: Invitation to the UN Climate Change Conference COP 30

The Green Squad has received an official invitation to participate in the United Nations Climate Change Conference 2025 – COP 30, to be held in Brazil from November 10 to 21, 2025, under the auspices of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

According to the organizers, COP 30 represents a pivotal moment in the international climate agenda, bringing together world leaders, policymakers, experts, civil society representatives, and youth to accelerate global climate action.

As the first COP conference ever held in the Brazilian Amazon, the event will underscore the importance of protecting critical ecosystems, ensuring a just transition, and mobilizing financial resources for climate resilience.

The conference will open with a high-level ministerial roundtable and meetings of the G77 group of developing nations and China. Alongside the official sessions, numerous open meetings and thematic workshops will address key topics, including energy transition, climate resilience, investment in communities and ecosystems, nature-based solutions, and the conservation of forests and their rich biodiversity.

The organizers have announced the participation of more than 2,000 high-ranking delegates, among them representatives of the Green Squad.

From the extensive conference agenda, the Green Squad highlights the following key events of special importance:

  • Open Dialogue of the Presidency with NGOs and Parties
  • Turning the Tide on Deforestation: A Decisive Moment for the Decade
  • REDD+ Community of Practice: A Global Community Effort for Forests

After eight exhausting years of continuous struggle against the organized destruction of Croatia’s forests—amid blackmail, threats, silencing, and legal persecution through SLAPP lawsuits filed by the state-owned company Hrvatske šume d.o.o.—we are proud that the world has finally recognized our efforts

This invitation is not only a recognition of our work but also an opportunity to present the truth before one of the world’s most significant audiences — the United Nations Conference.
